Past Competitions

2017 This Place Matters Competition

In June 2017, historic places across Canada shared over $684,000 in cash prizes and donations. Twenty-five participating project groups from coast to coast competed  for Canadians’ votes and donations. Learn more about the impact of this competition by clicking the link below.

2016 This Place Matters Competition

In October 2016, the National Trust ran its first national crowdfunding competition challenging communities to identify projects to renew their historic main streets. 2015 THIS LIGHTHOUSE MATTERS

In June 2015, the National Trust shone a light on Nova Scotia’s lighthouses with the first regional crowdfunding competition. We couldn’t believe the success!
